Codex becomes SAM Files !

Main changes 

  • Codex now benefits from SAM logic and enhanced workflows (Translation Action, Write Action, Duplication Action, Filter Action, IA Steps)
  • Users will now be able to write their own scripts, thanks to our simplified script-editing tool
  • Users can add deadlines and labels when importing files to pass by information to production teams
  • Users can search and sort documents in the SAM files interface

Create your script

I'm about to create a script for the following .xlsx file.

I want to localize column C in my tab1, starting line 2. 

I want my EAN to be part of the name of my translation units, so I'll use column B for "keys". 

I want products belonging to the same category to be in the same asset, so I want to do a content grouping on column A.

Use the helper button at the top right of your interface to help you edit your script :



Import

When importing my files, I can choose to add a deadline, add a label or a piece of context, to one or several file(s).

 
Send into workflows

When importing, in the second step, I can select locales and workflows. Here, I am sending my files into workflow "Translation fr-FR=>en-US" and choosing "en-US" as locale.

Track Progress

In the SAM Files interface, I can track the progress of production. Here, I am waiting for 2 translation tasks (as I splitted my document into 2 assets according to the category). Once they are in delivered, I can see that my chip for "en-US" has turned green and is ready to be dowloaded.


Download 

I can download my file or several files at the same time. Should the download take too much time, don't hesitate to go do something else, and come back fetch your file from the process panel.



New features

Content browser

  • Users can now create sets of locales in the content browser to select faster their target languages when importing assets
  • Users can now dynamically follow their active locales in the content browser (synchronization status) by selecting in the settings the option "All active locales". The list of followed locales will be updated if you add or remove a locale from your back office
  • In the Content Browser, users can now filter on the synchronization status column with pairs of languages and statuses

  • Akeneo: 
    • Users can now send reference entities options for translation through the connector
  • Magento: 
    • Users can now send custom fields for translation
  • Contentstack: 
    • Users can send entries with their linked entries grouped as one asset in Wezen


SAM 

  • New step to send versions to DeepL for translation
  • New step to send versions to ChatGPT for translation
  • New step to send a picture to Astica AI to generate content
  • Users can now see workflows and track progress of the versions that passed into them
  • Users can now filter their assets based on the asset status
  • Labels attached to assets are now also attached to the tasks linked to it


Translate

  • In Translate, users can filter tasks that need to be worked on, ie that contains waiting segments
  • New Translate workflow available : Translation > Review (Optional) > Validation (Optional) > Delivered

  • Fixed issue on Volume Tracking percentage calculation for Volume-based subscription


Memory

  • Fixed issue where users couldn't filter on dates anymore
  • Fixed issue when trying to filter on "creator" in the Memory interface would make the page crash


SAM

  • Fixed issue in the Asset table where refreshing the page would reset the ordering or filters
  • Fixed issue where the fragment names in Wezen were incomplete, blocking users from filtering properly in the workflow the wanted fragments
  • Fixed issue where filters would show all the possible fields for every technology Wezen is connected to, eventhough the user didn't import content using said technologies. Now users can filter the asset table on the exact data they have in the table


SAM Files

  • Fixed issue where Wezen Git connector would push incomplete files to Git
  • Ability to handle .docx files where track changes feature is activated


Channels

  • Akeneo: 
    • Fixed issue where Wezen would not pull all options from a product if there were more than 10 options. Now the connector can pull every option linked to the product
    • Fixed the ability to ignore fields when pushing back content to Akeneo
  • Contentstack: 
    • Fixed issue where the connector only pulled the last item of a block instead of the whole list contained in it
  • Fixed issue where some translated content failed to reintegrate properly in Contenstack


Translate

  • Fixed issue in the studio where the underlining of words would sometimes disappear
