In the Translation studio, on the right bar, you have access to different widgets to assist you when editing content:

How to use widgets


Display or hide a widget

When you click on a widget, it will open in a panel on the right side of your screen. You can close it by clicking it again or by clicking:



Move a widget 

You can move it to the bottom of the screen by dragging and dropping it with the corresponding handle:



Display several widgets at once - Pin/un-pin a widget

In case you want to display several widgets at once, you can pin them to the Translation Studio so that they don't get replaced when opening a new widget using thebutton:



Note: the layout of your widgets will be saved for the next time you access the Translation Studio.


List of widgets


Below is the list of available widgets:


Details


The Details widget shows you all the context information sent by the client. You can find here text, images, but also links.

QA check


The QA check widget shows you all the QA errors and warnings. You can either get all the warnings of the task or of a specific section. By default, it shows the ones of the currently active section.


Spell checker


The Spell Checker allows you to search for words and will give you correctly spelled words in your language.


Term Base


When opened, the Term Base widget highlights the terms that are in the Term Base. You can search for a word to get its translation and its status.

Memory


The Memory widget allows you to consult the translation memory. If you select a part of the source, it will automatically search for it. You can also manually type your research. For each result, you can insert the target where your cursor is.

Comments


The comment widget allows you to post and view comments on the current segment. You can also see all the comments on the task. It can be used to add remarks, to ask for changes, to add validations, or simply add pieces of information.

History


The History widget allows you to see all the previous action on the task and in the current segment. For each saved edition, you can see this version of the section and restore it if needed.

Machine Translation


It will automatically translate the translation batch using the configured MT provider via API.

Within this widget, you will find a button to launch the studio onboarding tutorial, all the shortcuts that can be used in the studio, and links to useful helpdesk articles.
