How to know if the platform logged you out

When you are working on a task in the Translation Studio, there are symptoms that show you've been logged out due to inactivity. Inactivity is defined in terms of requests: if no segment validation, no TM/TB search has been made during 30 mins, the platform logs the user out. You will know this happened when:

  • You are not able to save segments, by using the ctrl+enter shortcut or the validate button. This changes the color of the dot next to the segment from orange to green. If you are not able to do this, you are most probably logged out.
  • You are not able to look for entries in the Translation Memory or Termbase, by typing in your search and pressing enter, you get no results. If you are not able to do this, it is again most probably because you've been logged out.

To test if you've been logged out, open a new window (do not refresh the translation studio page) and try accessing your instance ([instance].wezen.com). If you land on the log in page, you've been logged out. If not, you might be encountering another issue, contact the Helpdesk asap.

What to do

Once you've checked and noticed you've been logged out, do not worry or panic. Following the above mentioned procedure, you are currently looking at the log in screen. Log in with your credentials, and switch back to the translation studio, again without refreshing or exiting the translation studio. You should now be able to save your work, access the memories and continue your job without an issue. If the issue persists, again please don't hesitate to contact the Helpdesk.
